The Computer School online training resource

You can access thousands of free online tutorials, including video tutorials, from this site. The Computer School is just one of many online resources you can access from the Shire of Mundaring Library website.e-Library snip

The image on the right shows just a few of them.

When you click on ‘The Computer’ all you need is the password which is ‘grepublib’, and you’re away.

Whilst the thought of thousands of tutorials may sound daunting, they are grouped by subject, and there are drop-down menus you can access along the top of the home page to view topics. compschoolhome

I had a play with the Brain Training one (Luminosity).

There are modules written by the Computer School itself that are basic and easy to follow on subdictionary linkjects such as internet searching as well as a very handy dictionary as shown on the left where I looked up the term ‘metadata’.

Below is a look at the drop-down menu for Social Media and a look at a video tutorial on adding contacts to a Skype account.

So there you have it – just a small snapshot of the wealth of computer training available at your fingertips wherever you have access to the internet.
