“Storylines” Workshop

Laughter, chatter, and stories filled the library yesterday as local Aboriginal elders attended a “Storylines” workshop facilitated by the State Library. Storylines is a State Library of Western Australia project to explore, identify and return Aboriginal heritage material from our collections.
The website at http://ow.ly/UMRwM is rich with amazing images – have a look – it is fascinating!
Yesterday, the database was demonstrated and people contributed to content and filled in some of the ‘gaps’ in the information and corrected some inaccuracies; family members were identified in a lot of the images and individual stories were captured and recorded to be added to the database.
